Located in the Oranmore Business Park in Galway City, our family run business was established more than 35 years ago by Joe Whelan.

The business started out closer to the heart of Galway City as a repair shop for power tools and expanded to meet customer demand by providing a repairs service for garden machinery. Eventually we took on a range of new garden machinery for sale and we relocated to Oranmore 20 years ago to a new, more spacious premises that could facilitate the business’s expanding range.

We stock everything to keep your lawn looking fantastic including all sorts of lawnmowers, from big ride-on mowers to walk-behind lawn mowers to robotic mowers, brushcutters, lawn spreaders, scarifiers and edgers.

We have tools to maintain your hedges and trees including chainsaws, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers and shredders. We stock tillers and all sorts of hand tools to help you keep your flower beds and raised beds in tip-top condition. And finally we have all the accessories and spare parts you might need to use all our tools safely and effectively for years to come.

Garden machinery has come a long way over the past 35 years and the industry is forever changing and JW Tools endeavours to showcase new and innovative products on the market. In recent years we have introduced a range of robotic lawnmowers and a selection of lithium-ion battery-powered garden machines to the store. Sales of robotic mowers have increased year on year as consumers realise they are not gimmicks and are excellent pieces of equipment that work so well at keeping our Irish green grass looking neat and lush every day, all year long.

Whilst there has been a vast improvement in the quality and sophistication of machinery since JW Tools was established, regular maintenance is still necessary on these new models, and staff at JW tools believe that after sales machine service and spare parts availability are still a very important aspect of the service provided to customers. Our repairs and spare parts staff have a wealth of experience in the repair of all types of garden machinery and can provide expert advice to customers on all their garden machinery queries.
